"This Time" - About The Music

The music is fresh, completely original and yet somehow familiar. The bluesy, jazzy, soulful rock style approach spans an emotional range from "sweet innocence" to "kick slam in your face reality".

People of all ages relate to it, making it easy to sell. Wendy Lee's down-to-earth style of writing easily reaches her audience, appealing strongly to emotion and life experience.

She, herself, uses her music as an escape and provides everyone who listens an opportunity to do the same. Rhythm and movement are predominant in Wendy's themes ("gotta make you wanna move") with lyrical composition that often supports the meter.

"Writing song lyrics is a challenge," she says, "you have a tiny amount of space to say everything!!" Every word has to count."

Count it does, but message-oriented and heavy it isn't. Wendy Lee's tongue-in-cheek attitude in life is strongly reflected in her music approach. "People should have fun," she says often.

Wendy Lee feels very fortunate to be surrounded by exceptionally talented and professional musicians/friends who graciously add their originality and finely-tuned playing skills to her efforts.

These same musicians are a significant part of the personality that has developed in her music.
